History of Buchman
Buchman began to be built about 7 years ago. Its layout was designed by the architect Meir Buchman who is a town planner. The first area to be built was North Buchman as can be seen on the aerial photograph on the right. The green park in the picture above was just a pile of boulders and as you can see, it is now a beautiful park. Since those early days work began on developing South Buchman which is even today Fall 2008 a building site, but much of it has been finished and it is a very popular part of Buchman. Many from the North are moving to the South mainly because of the community factor. Buchman has lacked schools, permanent synagogues and shops. Facilities are improving all the time and hopefully within a few years the neighbourhood will have all the necessary facilities that are needed. Prices on plan were very attractive in the early days. As the second hand real estate market emerged prices gradually began to rise and with the influx of the Anglo community, prices of properties in Buchman soared to very high levels. Even so Buchman, even today, has always been a very interesting option for investors.
